The Complaining Post

Whoa, that mother glockenspiel weighs a LOT more than the usual lyres. AND I sprained my left ankle trying to dance La Bamba (right, right, left, left, right, left, right, right, left left, right right...) during practices. So I find myself trying to strengthen my limbs as well as my waist (the body part with which I support the monster of an instrument)

My physical endurance is about 15% of what I had at the start of the day. My chest ligaments are sore from push-ups, my legs were beaten down during today's soccer match, and my back feels like I'm one of those Creaking Skulls in Castlevania.

About to collapse under my own weight (and the lyre's)

My heavy lyre just happens to have a support tube a little too thin for its fat butt. Oh, and we've got a new array of songs, none of which we previously knew (well, we knew ONE, but we hadn't played it for, like, two years)

Do you get the picture??

Sheesh, Independence Day preparation is quite a hassle when it comes to planning the glockenspiel songs.
